POPULAR QUESTIONS

+ Do I need studded tires?

Winter tires come built with a soft-compound rubber that gives you extra grip in cold temperatures. While opinions and personal preference is divided, most studies show that with a good quality winter tire, studs aren’t necessary. Of course, we can stud almost any new winter tire.

+ When should I change my tires?

As a general rule, you should change your tires from summers to winters when the temperature drops below 6°C. The rubber compound in your all-season tires becomes harder at these cool temperatures, reducing overall performance. You shouldn’t be waiting until there’s snow on the ground to have your tires changed.

+ When do I need new tires?

Most drivers are aware that your tires are there to provide grip on the road, but most drivers aren’t aware that the primary thing preventing your tires getting a good grip is water buildup. Your tire treads are designed to displace water away from the contact point where your rubber meets the road. As your tires wear down, they become less effective.
